Brands and switching between them

How brands work in AskAiRank: what is scoped to a brand, how to add one, how many each plan allows, and what changes when you switch.

Updated:

A brand is the unit everything hangs off: a product, its domain, its prompts, its competitors and its history. One account can hold several brands, which is how agencies and multi-product founders use AskAiRank.

What belongs to a brand

Almost everything: prompts, engine selection, crawl schedule, competitors, citations, site scans, the blog calendar, listings statuses and every number on the dashboard. Only your profile, plan and preferences are account-level.

That means the active brand is always the answer to โ€œwhy do I see different data than yesterdayโ€. Check the brand switcher first.

Adding a brand

Use the brand switcher at the top of the sidebar. Adding a brand runs the same short onboarding: domain, description, prompts, engines. Your plan sets the ceiling: 1 brand on Free, 3 on Starter, 5 on Pro, 10 on Team. Hitting the ceiling shows an upgrade prompt rather than silently failing.

Switching

Pick another brand in the switcher and the page reloads with that brandโ€™s data. The switcher also shows whether each brandโ€™s domain is verified.

Switching does not stop tracking on the brand you left. Polling runs server-side on a schedule for every paid brand, whether or not anyone is looking at it.

Brand settings

Brand Settings holds the details the engines and our analysis rely on: name, domain, description, industry, logo and default market. Keep the description accurate. It is used when we generate prompt suggestions and when we decide which brand names in an answer refer to you.

Editing brand details requires a verified primary domain. See Domains and verification.
