Getting started with AskAiRank
Add your brand, pick the questions you want to track, and read your first report. A first hour in AskAiRank, from signup to your first Visibility Score.

AskAiRank answers one question: when someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity or Gemini for a tool like yours, does your brand come up? It asks those engines the same questions every day, reads the answers, and turns them into numbers you can watch over time.
Create your brand
Sign up at app.askairank.com and the onboarding walks you through four short steps.
- Your website. Paste your domain. We read the site and pre-fill the rest, so you rarely have to type a description by hand.
- Your profile. Check the name, the category and the short description we found. This text is never shown to the AI engines, it is what our parser uses to tell your brand apart from a similarly named one.
- Your prompts. We suggest the questions a real buyer would ask. Keep the ones that sound like your customers, delete the rest, add your own.
- AI engines. Choose which engines to track. Your plan sets how many can run at once, and you can change the selection later in Brand Settings.
Google Search Console is offered during onboarding and is optional. Connecting it shows the real Google queries next to the AI answers, and it verifies your domain automatically instead of a DNS record. See Connecting Search Console.
Wait for the first poll
Prompts are polled once a day. The first run usually lands within a few hours of finishing onboarding, and until it does the dashboard shows an onboarding preview rather than real numbers.
If you do not want to wait, open a prompt and use Run now. It fires that one prompt through every engine you track and writes a real run, exactly like the scheduled one. Every plan has its own allowance of manual runs, so use them on the prompts you care about most.
Read your first numbers
The dashboard opens with the metrics that matter:
- Visibility Score: the share of runs where your brand appears in the top ten of the answer.
- Detection Rate: the share of runs where you are mentioned anywhere at all.
- Share of Voice: your mentions as a share of every brand mentioned alongside you.
- Average Position: where you land in a list when you do appear, lower being better.
One day of data is a data point, not a trend. Give it a week before you conclude anything. What each metric means explains how each number is calculated and what a healthy value looks like.
Where to go next
- How AskAiRank works covers the daily cycle end to end.
- Choosing prompts is the single highest-leverage thing you can do in the product.
- The AI Visibility Playbook is the checklist for actually improving the numbers, not just watching them.
